AVAL UPMA

Ingredients
Rice flakes (aval) 1 cup
Onion 1
Green chilli 1
Curry leaves 5 leaves
Grated coconut 1/4 cup
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tsp
Preparation
1. To a bowl, add rice flakes and sprinkle little water to make them soft.
2. Chop onion and green chilli into small pieces.
3. Heat a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, green chilli, salt and onion. Fry well.
4. Add aval and grated coconut. Mix well.
5. Turn off the flame.
6. Serve hot.

VERMICELLI VEGETABLE BIRYANI (UPMA)

Ingredients

Semiya (semolina) 2 cups

Onion 1

Tomato 1

Chopped carrot and potato 1/2 cup

Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp

Green chilli 2

Chilli powder 1 tbsp

Garam masla powder 2 tbsp

Cinnamon 1/2 stick

Cloves 2

Salt to taste

Oil 2 tbsp


Preparation

1. Heat a pan, add oil, cinnamon, cloves, chopped green chillies and chopped onion and ginger garlic paste.

2. Saute till golden brown.

3. Add chopped tomatoes and vegetables. Mix well.

4. Add 2 cups of water, salt, masala powder and chilli powder.

5. After the vegetables are cooked, add semiya and mix well.

6. After 3 mts turn off the heat.

BROWN BREAD UPMA


Ingredients


Brown bread 5 slices

Onion 1

Green chilli 3

Urad dal 1 tsp

Mustard seeds 1tsp

Curry leaves 5 leaves

Coriander leaves to garnish

Salt to taste

Oil 2 tbsp


Preparation


1. Make bread into very small pieces.

2. Heat a pan, add oil, musatard seeds after it crackle add urad dal, curry leaves, chopped green chillies and onion.

3. Fry well till the colour of the onion changes golden brown.

4. Now add bread pieces and salt. Mix well

5. After 2 mts turn off the heat.

6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

TOMATO BREAD UPMA


Ingredients


Bread 4 slices

Onion 1

Tomato 2

Sambar powder 1 tbsp

Green chilli 2

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Coriander leaves

Oil 2 tbsp


Preparation


1. Cut bread into small pieces.

2. Heat a pan, add oil, mustard seeds after it crackle add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, salt and sambar powder.

3. Fry well till they are cooked.

4. Now put bread pieces into it and fry for 2 mts.

5. Turn off the heat.

BREAD UPMA

Ingredients


Bread 6 slices
Onion 1

Carrot shreded 1/4 cup

Curry leaves 10 leaves

Green chilli 1

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil 3 tsp


Preparation


1.Make bread into small pieces.

2.Heat a pan add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, chopped green chillies and chopped onion and fry well.

3.Now add shreded carrot and bread, mix well.

4.Turn off the heat and serve while it is hot.
