SNAKE GOURD CURRY ( PUDALANGAI KUTTU)

Ingredients

Chopped snake gourd 1 cup

Chopped onion 1 cup

Coconut 1/2 cup

Green chilli 2

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Cumin seeds 1 tsp

Urad dal 1 tsp

Curry leaves 5 leaves

Red chilli powder 1 tsp

Garlic 2 cloves

Salt to taste

Oil 3 tbsp


Preparation


1. Grind coconut, cumin seeds, garlic and red chilli powder coarsely and keep aside.

2. Heat pan, add oil, mustard seeds after it crackle add urad dal, curry leaves, chopped green chillies, onion and snake gourd. Fry well.

3. After they are cooked, add grinded coconut mixture. Mix it well.

4. Turn off the heat.

5. Serve it with rice.
